Christmas in 2021 was better than Christmas 2020--which of course is not saying very much. Despite the furious malevolence of the virus, I was able to have a Christmas party this year! Though not many people came, those who did were merry! We were happy to be together, and proud to face down the plague; we all chatted and attended to the treats with great good cheer. The house was blessed by two sweet babies and two little girls. Thank you to their brave parents who dismissed fear of infection and honored Christmas! On Boxing day, Daniel and Claire got the family together for a wonderful party--the way we used to! The twins and their adorable little cousin Rory were there, and other beloved family.Thank you, Daniel and Claire! I missed those who couldn't be there, but knew that they were all merry and bright wherever they were. |
